Hey, I'm Erin Alys! I grew up in Atascadero, CA and (somewhat) recently moved to Chicago. This theatre community rules and I'm genuinely thrilled to be a part of it.

I'm an actor, intimacy choreographer, teacher & new works collaborator. Also stunt performer & fight director with a focus in unarmed and found object. My education is pretty solely in theatre with an MFA in Acting and New Work (Ohio State University) and a BFA in Acting (AMDA LA & NYC). I recently taught (Viewpoints) and performed (a non-verbal solo) as the Artist in Residence at the University of Wyoming, and prior to that was on the national tour of Jurassic World Live (roarrr), produced by Feld Entertainment and NBC Universal.

"Tender Napalm is about two people fighting to survive unthinkable grief. Their reality is grounded in memory, dream, and desire, and they navigate it the only way they can: through the language of touch, imagination, and play. The violence in the text is not cruelty but collision. It is what happens when mourning presses a body against its limits and demands it keep going."
This immersive production is staged in an apartment in Humboldt Park with an intimate audience of 20.

Erin Alys (she/her) is an actor, intimacy director, fight director, stunt performer, and educator. She recently appeared on stage in Tin Drum’s Incognito. As an intimacy choreographer, Erin has trained extensively with TIE and presented at their Chicago Symposium. She is the IC for Idle Muse's The Blood Countess (currently running at The Edge) and her next project will be with Ego Death’s production of Days of Rage. In the staged violence realm, Erin is researching the physical manifestation of death to bring that insight into her choreography. She plans to present her research at conferences in 2026. As a stunt person, Erin has performed alongside dinosaurs in the national tour of Jurassic World Live; produced by Feld Entertainment and NBC Universal. She is a Playmakers Laboratory company member and has taught at the Chicago Actor Studio and various universities across the country.
